And the Deaths, Disappearances and Deportations Continue...No Vale Nada La Vida

Saturday, February 17, 2018 - 4:00pm

Saturday 2/17/18, 4:00-8:00 PM
Global Justice Center
225 E 26th St, Tucson

The symposium is a follow-up discussion to the 2016 book Migrant Deaths in the Arizona Desert: La vida vale nada, published by The University of Arizona Press and the winner of the 2017 International Latino Book Award for Best Multi-Author Nonfiction. In addressing how the humanitarian crises on the Arizona border continues, panels of experts will examine biological deaths on the border, the ambiguous deaths of migrants who disappear, and the “social deaths” of those who are deported.
